Up until a week ago, in order to do a screenshare on Facebook Live you had to use third party software like OBS - Open Broadcaster Software (free but steep learning curve) or Be.Live (easy to use but expensive). I was super pumped when Facebook announced that they had added built-in screensharing functionality to Facebook Live! Here is how it works.
This is one of those blogs that I’m writing because people keep asking me this question time and time again! Facebook doesn’t have a built-in way to schedule shared posts but sometimes for business purposes, we need to do this. Why?
- Sharing other people’s content is important - social media doesn’t really work if we don’t share
- We don’t want to overwhelm our audience with a bunch of back-to-back posts
As small business owners and entrepreneurs, it’s rare that we can post 100% original content on every social media platform every day. Some people supplement their social media feeds by sharing other people’s content, which is a great strategy as long as that content is valuable to your audience and isn’t from a direct competitor! So what do you do when you want to post more of your own content but just can’t find the time?
Countless variations of these two questions are what prompted me to write this post:
- How do I keep my personal Facebook page separate from my business page?
- How do I avoid annoying all of my friends with business-related posts?
If you've ever asked yourself (or anyone else) questions like this, then read on!
